Correction: Water pollution story

VENTURA, Calif.—In a May 10
story about stormwater pollution, The Associated Press erroneously
described the environmental enforcement at a facility owned by Boeing
Co. The Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board has given
Boeing a year to take additional steps to clean up water runoff
pollution at two locations at its Santa Susana Field Laboratory before
any new fines are levied, according to Steve Cain, a board spokesman.
No existing fines have been waived by the board. In addition,
Boeing told the board it will adjust an existing strategy to address
water runoff pollution at the two locations, Cain said. Boeing already
has a strategy in place for dealing with runoff pollution at the entire
facility.
