August 24, 2010 -- Klamath Riverkeeper’s partner California Coastkeeper Alliance (CCKA) has launched a new advocacy effort to restore flows in California waterways. CCKA is arguing that the Clean Water Act requires the State Water Board to list California waterways impaired by reduced natural flow on the State’s “303(d) List” of polluted waters. If successful, this effort will result in state and federal recognition of the link between flow and waterway health and obligate the State to take remedial action to address low flows.
